The early signing period for college football began Wednesday.

As usual, some of the Bay Area’s top high school players didn’t waste any time submitting their letters of intent.

Among the first signees were De La Salle tight end Cooper Flanagan (Notre Dame), Pittsburg wide receiver Rashid Williams (Washington) and Heritage running back Devon Rivers and Sacred Heart Cathedral linebacker RL Miller, who both signed with Fresno State.

The Bay Area News Group will continue to update the list when colleges announce that a player has signed.

Here is where things stand:

Cooper Flanagan, De La Salle, TE, Notre Dame

RL Miller, Sacred Heart Cathedral, LB, Fresno State

Devon Rivers, Heritage, RB, Fresno State

Rashid Williams, Pittsburg, WR, Washington
