SAN FRANCISCO — James Wiseman was ruled out for Friday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers after he rolled his left ankle during a game of 3-on-3 earlier in the day.

Coach Steve Kerr said Wiseman’s injury doesn’t appear to be serious. The 7-foot center is day-to-day, per Kerr.

Patrick Baldwin Jr. was called up from Santa Cruz for added bench depth with Wiseman sidelined. The rookie is coming off his two best games of his young NBA career. He poured in a career-high 17 points in 23 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 21. He hit a few clutch 3s in the Warriors’ comeback win against the Utah Jazz Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins continues to inch closer to his return to the floor. He participated in 3-on-3 Friday morning but is still getting his conditioning up to game speed. Friday will be the 13th consecutive game Wiggins will miss after straining a muscle in his thigh and getting sick.

Kerr said the Warriors are “hopeful” Wiggins will be available for Monday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
