A kitchen fire at a residence on Hibiscus Drive in Santa Rosa may have caused $200,000 in damages to the home, fire officials said.
The fire, which erupted on Friday morning, was reported by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from the roof, the Santa Rosa Fire Department said on Twitter.
The department dispatched four fire engines to the location, and firefighters located the blaze in the kitchen of the two-story house. The fire damaged the attic and other parts of the house’s interior, and the house also sustained damage from smoke and from a water leak in the ceiling.
The fire was contained after 25 minutes, officials said. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
