OAKLAND — A 19-year-old man was shot Tuesday night in East Oakland after he got into an argument with some other people, authorities said.
The man, an Oakland resident, was treated at a hospital for a wound to his arm and later released. He was being interviewed by investigators Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened about 8:56 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 13th Avenue and International Boulevard.
Police said the man was standing outside when he got into a dispute with another man and a woman who were inside a vehicle. Police believe he was shot by the other man who drove off with the woman, authorities said.
The wounded man got his own transportation to a hospital.
Police have not yet said what the dispute was about or provided detailed descriptions of the pair in the vehicle.
