The Miami Heat will again be without two starters for the second consecutive game, since Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin will both miss Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls in FTX Arena.
Lowry is listed as having knee soreness, with these past two games the lone injury absence for the veteran, 36-year-old point guard. He previously was held out one game for rest.
Martin is dealing with an ankle sprain sustained toward the end of Thursday night’s road victory over the Houston Rockets.
With the Heat again shorthanded, undrafted rookie Jamal Cain was summoned to return from the G League.
In addition to Lowry and Martin, the Heat are without Gabe Vincent (knee), Omer Yurtseven (ankle) and Udonis Haslem (achilles).
The Heat’s three-game homestand continues Friday night against the Indiana Pacers.
