Jen Shah‘s sentencing date has been moved yet again.
While the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member was expected to appear in court on December 15 to be sentenced for crimes of fraud, which she pled guilty to in July after maintaining her innocence for more than a year’s time, she will now get to enjoy the holidays with her family, including husband Sharrieff “Coach” Shah, before learning her fate.
“Jen Shah’s legal counsel has requested a new sentencing date of January 6, 2023 and Judge Stein has approved the request!” the Housewives of SLC on Instagram shared with their followers on November 23. “The previous sentencing date was scheduled for December 15, 2022.”
In an accompanying messages written to Judge Sidney H. Stein, Jen’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, wrote the following:
“As the Court is aware, we represent Jennifer Shah in the above-referenced matter which is scheduled for sentencing on December 15, 2022.”
“With the government’s consent we respectfully request the Court adjourn Ms. Shah’s sentencing to January 6, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., and adjust the filing deadlines for parties’ sentencing memoranda accordingly.”
In another post from The Bravo Docket on Instagram, the agreement was further explained.
“The Judge entered Jen Shah’s requested new hearing date and adjusted the deadlines of the sentencing submissions. We don’t know why, could be the holidays, could be the reunion…?” they wondered, along with a list of dates, including December 16, when Jen’s submission is due, and a gov’s submission date of December 23.
Attorney Ronald Richards, who previously worked on a case against Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne and her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, also weighed in on the moving of Jen’s sentencing hearing.
“Jen Shah just moved to continue her sentencing. She does not want to go to prison w/o one last soiree with the Shahstans!” he wrote. “She 1st picked a Thanksgiving week date, then moved it to Dec. 15, now we wait until after the 1st of the year. The govt consented.”
“Shah-mazing!” he added, sarcastically we’re sure.

As RHOSLC fans may know, this is the second time that Jen’s sentencing hearing has been moved. Previously, the court date was moved from November 18 to December 12 due to a “scheduling conflict on the part of several members of the Government team,” per Page Six.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season three airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
