Multiple Giants players were inside Minnesota’s Mall of America on Friday night when a teenager was shot and killed, but all of the Giants’ players are accounted for and safe.

A 19-year-old was killed during an altercation, police said, sending the country’s largest mall into a lockdown two days before Christmas.

The Giants were staying in a hotel adjacent to the mall in Bloomington, Minn. The Associated Press reported that a couple shoppers were locked down with a couple Giants players, which the team confirmed.

Fortunately, they got out safely.

“Everyone is back in the hotel and accounted for now,” Giants senior VP of communications Pat Hanlon told the AP Friday night.

Giants play-by-play man Bob Papa also tweeted that he was in lockdown at a restaurant in the mall during the “scary” situation but that he got back to the hotel safely.

The Giants (8-5-1) were in town to take on the Minnesota Vikings (11-3) at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon.

Check back for details, this is a breaking story.
