More than 1,600 flights were canceled and many more delayed on Tuesday as a brutal ice storm continued to hit parts of the South and central United States, bringing a second day of transport problems.

As wintry conditions affected an area from Texas to West Virginia, airplane tracking website FlightAware reported that more than 1,600 flights had been canceled within the US and more than 2,600 delayed by about 1:30 p.m. ET.

Texas has been particularly hard hit.

Three of the state’s airports — Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW), Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Austin Bergstrom International (AUS) — are experiencing significant disruption, according to FlightAware, with Dallas Fort-Worth seeing the bulk of cancellations. As of 1 p.m. ET, more than 800 flights to or from DFW were canceled.

Nashville International Airport in Tennessee was also seeing significant cancellations, with about 130 flights canceled by 1 p.m. ET.

Southwest, American and regional carriers Envoy Air and SkyWest have been the most affected airlines.

Texas-based Southwest and American airlines had both canceled more than 500 flights by early Tuesday afternoon, representing 14% and 16% of their schedules, respectively.

On Monday, Southwest, which experienced an operational meltdown over the holidays, canceled about 12% of its schedule. American canceled 6% of its flights. Across all carriers, more than 1,100 flights were canceled on Monday, with more than 6,000 delays.

On Monday, Southwest Airlines issued a winter weather waiver across a dozen airports in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky. The waiver applies to affected travel between January 30 to February 1.

American Airlines issued a waiver on Sunday for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) that applies to travel from January 29 to February 2.

DFW airport tweeted Tuesday that it is well prepared for the winter weather: “Airport runways, roadways, bridges, and pedestrian walkways have been and will continue to be treated for any potential ice to ensure safety.”

There’s a winter storm warning in effect for a large portion of Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth area, until 6 a.m. Central Time on Thursday, February 2.

The heaviest ice accumulation is forecast across large portions of Texas, which could see one- to three-quarters of an inch through Thursday morning. One-quarter inch of ice is possible across a wider swath of the region, including southern Oklahoma, Arkansas, northwestern Mississippi and parts of Tennessee.

“I encourage Arkansans who are experiencing winter weather to avoid travel if possible and heed the warnings of local officials,” Arkansas governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted on Monday.

Kenya Moore Teases Explosive Drama and New Cast Members on RHOA Season 15, Plus if She Keeps in Touch With Porsha Williams

Credit: Jennifer Graylock/INFphoto, Michael Simon/startraksphoto

Kenya Moore is teasing a drama-filled new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

RHOA is entering its 15th season, and Kenya is saying that it was tense from the onset of filming.

“It was drama from day one,” Kenya said while speaking to Hollywood Life’s Pay Attention Puh-Lease! podcast. “The first time we all got together — it was only a week into shooting — and it was just all kinds of crazy drama.”

Kenya continued by saying “explosions [were] going off everywhere” as the cast was “getting into it” with each other, including one co-star’s boyfriend setting off an incident with her.

“This one was getting into it with this one. I had somebody’s boyfriend getting into it with me,” the RHOA veteran said. “I was like, ‘What the hell is happening?’”

The upcoming season is expected to see the return of familiar faces, including Kandi Burruss, Sheree Whitfield, Drew SidoraMarlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross. There will also be some new and returning “friends,” including former RHOA Housewife Cynthia Bailey.

Kenya also says to be on the lookout for Kandi’s pal, Monyetta Shaw-Carter.

“We have some friends of the show. We have a few. We have Monyetta. If you watch my Instagram, you’ll see a couple of friends that will pop in,” Kenya told the outlet.

Real Housewives cast trips are always a high point during each franchise’s season. Kenya revealed that the RHOA cast will be embarking on an international trip this time around after the pandemic put a hold on traveling.

“Of course, honey. This is season 15! We couldn’t not go on an international trip,” the former pageant queen said. “It’s going to be to a fabulous location, too.”

Kenya also talked about her current relationship, or lack thereof, with former co-star and frequent sparring partner Porsha Williams.

“I haven’t been in touch with her. We’re not enemies or anything,” she spilled.

As for not being invited to Porsha’s November 2022 wedding to husband Simon Guobadia, Kenya joked that her invitation got “lost in the mail.”

“I kept checking every day and it never showed up,” Kenya said. “I think she got the address wrong. She mixed up the letters and the numbers of my address.”

Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to premiere sometime later this year on Bravo.

Rep. George Santos told the House GOP conference on Tuesday behind closed doors he wants off of his two committees until his issues are resolved, three members told CNN.

The New York Republican who has faced calls for his resignation for false statements — including regarding his professional experience, education history and identity — is a member of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and the Committee on Small Business. Federal prosecutors are also investigating Santos’ finances, and he continues to face a myriad of questions about his personal finances.

He was first elected last fall.

Santos later told reporters the choice to step back from his committee posts was his.

“Nobody tells me to do anything,” Santos said. “I made that decision on my own that I thought best represented in the interest of the voters.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told reporters that Santos will “have a voice here in Congress, and until he answers all those questions, then at that time he’ll be able to be seated on committees.”

“I met with George Santos yesterday and I think it was an appropriate decision that, until he can clear everything up, he’s off the committee’s right now,” McCarthy told reporters.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia told CNN that it was Santos’ decision that he made on his own to “abstain” from the committees. She said he told the conference he would step aside from the committees as the GOP is trying to oust Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Democrats have cited the mounting false statements and scrutiny facing Santos as an example of hypocrisy for Republicans booting Omar and two other House Democrats — California Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell — off committee assignments. While Schiff and Swalwell were able to be ejected from the House Intelligence Committee unilaterally by McCarthy, Omar’s position on House Foreign Affairs will need a vote on the House floor, one that Republican leaders have yet to force.

“He just felt like there was so much drama really over the situation, and especially what we’re doing to work to remove Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee,” Greene told CNN.

She added: “But Mr. Santos’ statement in there was just saying that he spoke with Speaker McCarthy and made this decision on his own.”

Small Business Committee Chairman Roger Williams, a Republican from Texas, said that he thinks Santos “probably made the right decision” to step down from his committee assignments until the questions about his past and his financial irregularities are resolved.

Leaving his office late last week on Capitol Hill, Santos told a reporter that he would put together a news conference “soon” to “address everything.”

“We’ll give you all the answers to everything you’re asking for,” he said.

In recent days, Santos has faced a series of questions regarding his campaign finances, including inquiries about donors as well as campaign disbursements, including dozens of expenses his campaign has reported at exactly $199.99, one cent below the threshold above which the campaign is required to retain receipts.

The Campaign Legal Center filed a complaint with the FEC that describes his disbursements as “odd and seemingly impossible.” It notes that one of the $199.99 expenses was purported to be for a “hotel stay” at the luxury W Hotel South Beach in Florida in October 2021, where the lowest-price room typically would have cost more than $700.

Last week, Santos also filed a slew of amended reports with the FEC that only added to the confusion about the source of loans he has said he made to his campaign.

In some filings, the campaign did not check boxes denoting that two six-figure loans came from the candidate’s personal funds.

Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy Reacts to Claims of Trying to Look Like Dorit Kemsley, Shares How Brett is "Complete Opposite" of Austen, and Talks Patricia Friendship

Credit: Charles Sykes/Bravo, Instagram

Madison LeCroy is speaking out after facing claims of trying to look like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley.

After sharing a new photo of herself on Instagram in which she was seen wearing a black headband, large sunglasses, and a zip-up jacket, the Southern Charm cast member took to her Instagram Story, where she clapped back at those accusing her of being a look-a-like.

“It’s all down hill from here,” Madison wrote in the caption of her January 25 pic.

And as soon as the image was shared, Madison was met with several fans who believed the image was of Dorit.

“I thought this was [Dorit Kemsley] at first!!” one person wrote.

“Why is she posting a pic of Dorit?” asked a second.

Meanwhile, a third was more critical of the Southern Charm star, asking, “Do you want to be known for you as Madison or a look alike of Dorit, [Kim Kardashian], and many of the other [Real Housewives]?” and encouraging her to “be you!!”

Following the comments, Madison shared a video on her Story.

“I keep getting messages that I look like Dorit or ‘Why am I trying to look like Dorit?’” Madison began in the January 26 clip, via Bravo’s Style & Living. “I didn’t do that. I think that Dorit is gorgeous, so thank you — I said that as a compliment. But… it’s not like I went and had plastic surgery and said, ‘Hey, help me look like this.’”

While Madison acknowledged that they both have “blonde hair” and “fake lips,” she insisted she was not trying to look like the RHOBH cast member — or anyone else.

“I’m not trying to look like anybody but me — well… enhanced,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Madison’s husband, Brett Randle, who was beside her in the video, asked, “Who’s Dorit?”

In other Southern Charm news, Madison recently admitted her new spouse is the “complete opposite” of her ex-boyfriend, Austen Kroll.

“I would say my relationship now is completely opposite of any relationship I’ve ever had. He has a level of respect for me and as I do for him. And with that being said, what a difference. I have not been treated so well. And I am very blessed,” Madison gushed during a January 19 interview with The Daily Dish.

And during the same interview, Madison spoke of her friendship with Patricia Altschul, saying they’ve always had “a good history of a friendship, and we could never not be friends.”

As fans may have seen, Patricia and her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith, recently spent time with Madison and Brett.

“The new hubby is sweet, kind and ever so good looking,” Patricia wrote in the caption of a pic shared on her Instagram page.

Southern Charm season nine is currently in production.

Jen Shah’s Victim Reflects on “Dark Days” After Being Scammed and Reacts to RHOSLC Star’s 6.5-Year Prison Sentence, Plus Her Message to Jen

Credit: Bravo

Penny Pucket, one of the many victims of Jen Shah‘s fraud crimes, is speaking out about her experience with the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star.

Weeks after Jen was sentenced to serve 6.5 years behind bars for her role in a telemarketing scheme that targeted elderly victims, Penny discussed the embarrassment she felt and the “dark days” she endured as she reacted to Jen’s sentencing and revealed what she’d tell the reality star if given the chance.

“I thought, ‘How stupid,’ you know, ‘You are a stupid idiot.’ I was embarrassed,” Penny admitted on the January 29 episode of Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef. “They know how to manipulate you.”

While Penny initially kept her failed business dealings between herself and her husband, she ultimately told one of her kids, who wished she’d come to them sooner. Looking back, Penny said she thought she could handle the scheme alone.

“I thought, you know, ‘I’m a big girl, I can handle this.’ … I thought, ‘Well … People are gonna think I’m stupid because I let them take advantage of me like that,’” she explained. “I had a lot of dark days. There was a lot of days that I’d cry all day thinking, ‘How am I gonna get all this money back?’”

Even today, Penny is scarred by what she went through.

“I don’t trust anybody. They took that away. It takes a lot for me to let somebody in,” she shared.

“I don’t know that I’ll ever have complete closure because it’s always gonna be in the back of my mind. You know, people are cruel. There’s ulterior motives on a lot of these people and you gotta figure out if they’re true blue or if they got ulterior motives. And I always thought that I was a good judge of character and so that makes me question, you know, my whole question, everything … It leaves such a deep impact,” she noted.

According to Penny, she didn’t know who Jen was before she was featured in ABC News Studio’s The Housewife and the Shah Shocker, which premiered on Hulu in 2021.

“I don’t watch those Housewives shows … They’re just kind of silly to me … I hadn’t ever heard of the one in Salt Lake City. And I had never heard of Jen Shah,” she stated.

Penny then expressed frustration with the idea that Jen doesn’t have to pay her $6.6 million restitution back immediately.

“Why aren’t they making her liquidate her assets to pay all these people back?” Penny wondered. “She said she’d pay everybody back after she got out. Well, she could get rid of some of that stuff. She doesn’t need a big luxury house. She can live in a regular house like the rest of us.”

“I don’t think she’ll follow through. She’s not gonna do without,” she added.

Penny also noted that she wasn’t satisfied with Jen’s sentence, saying the RHOSLC cast member “probably needed more time for what she’d done.”

“I got angry because here she had this huge house, had lived off of everybody’s money, had all of this stuff and she gets to keep it all. And there were people that actually even lost their homes from her scams and [were] homeless. So where’s the justice actually, where is the justice in all of it?” she asked, noting that she and her husband had “to refinance our house” to pay off their credit card debt.

“I would be more than a little angry cuz here she’s living high on the hog and everybody else that she took advantage of isn’t. They’re struggling,” Penny continued.

Although Jen will soon begin her sentence, potentially in Texas, Penny doesn’t believe her sentence is “long enough.”

“I would’ve thought that it would’ve should’ve been a lot more, especially to the extent that she had done it and for the number of years it should’ve been at least double the number of years that she scammed people for,” Penny explained.

And she isn’t so sure she’ll learn her lesson either.

“I’d like to think so. She’s not gonna have her Gucci and all that, so I don’t imagine that it’s gonna be very luxurious, luxurious living,” Penny said. “So maybe if she has to live in not-so-good conditions, maybe she’ll appreciate what she had and maybe have some compassion on the people that she scammed. You can always hope, you know, you can always hope that something changes in her heart.”

As for whether or not Jen is truly sorry for the crimes she committed over the course of several years, Penny isn’t convinced.

“She’s used to being a drama queen, you know, on the Housewives … So I have trouble thinking that she’s empathetic to what she did,” Penny noted. “I think it’s all a show.”

Also during the podcast, when asked what she’d say to Jen if she called her, Penny said, “I would probably ask her, ‘What were you thinking? You know, didn’t you realize you were gonna hurt these people? That you were gonna impact their livelihood at some point? Because they didn’t have that money to throw away. They were looking to make some money, not throw it away.’”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season three reunion concludes Wednesday, February 1, at 8/7c on Bravo.
